We have developed our Athletic Profile tool to understand what the athlete has been exposed to. For example:
- How much time do they spend on formal structured, supervised skill development vs. informal skill development?
- How much time do they spend on athletic development?
- Do they stretch and perform rest and recovery techniques?
- How much sleep do they get each night?
- What do you they eat, and when do they eat?
Our exposures will determine our outcomes. If we want to fulfill our potential we must be exposed to deliberate practice and development. This process begins by understanding what we have been exposed to. The next step is to test, identifying strengths and weaknesses to direct strategies to improve performance and reduce injury.
